Champions League: Salah beats Ronaldo to win Best Goal

Liverpool winger, Mohammed Salah, has won the Champions League Goal of the Week (for the quarter-finals).

Salah took the prize ahead of Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Egyptian took the vote for his delightful dink against Manchester City in the last eight.

It has left many neutral fans to question whether or not the award deserved to go to Cristiano Ronaldo for his spectacular overhead effort against Juventus.

Despite earning a standing ovation from the Juve supporters for his stunning acrobatic finish, Ronaldo finished second in the official UEFA poll, roughly 10% behind Salah.

Salah faces old club Roma in the semi-finals, while Ronaldo’s Madrid take on Bayern Munich.

Singer Dr Sid allegedly 'ruffled' by SARS officials in Lekki

Singer  Dr Sid  was allegedly harassed by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigerian Police Force on Wednesday, who mistook him for an internet fraudster (“Yahoo Boy”). An eyewitness simply identified as Laide,  speaking to Instablog9ja  said the officers “insulted” and attempted to “assault him physically”. Laide said the incident occured on Freedom Way, Lekki Phase 1 and that after Dr. Sid was stopped and the officers carried out “routine check” but found nothing. They later seized his phone, Laide added. “Thanks to ReekadoBanks and K-Solo who were there, before (Basketmouth) who was driving by saw them and stopped to know what was wrong. Then it dawned on the SARS operatives that these guys were not their ‘yahoo boy customer’ Ise baje,” the eyewitness added.

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has raised alarm over alleged plot by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, Dr. Kayode Fayemi to implicate him and some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with murder. The governor alleged that a meeting on the plot was held in Isan-Ekiti, the hometown of Fayemi, the flag bearer of the APC in the July 14, 2018 governorship election. He alleged that a certain thug popularly known as Agbara was assigned with the task of killing people and dumping their corpses in houses belonging to PDP chieftains as well as Fajuyi Park.
